Ariel, the lesson was pretty awesome! I really liked that you got the students involved by hiding the letters and I also really liked that you incorporated the recorder because it gave the students the option to actually hear themselves and find out what they are saying and how it would sound to others. I think that kindergarteners will love being the stars of their own alphabet. You could also turn these into tapes that they can take home and share with their families; it is something that they will be proud of. Overall I give you a 10!

ReplyDeletePreparation- My teacher came in prepared with her butcher paper and the index cards. The initial activity engaged the students and could be a lesson that follows a less interesting one for a wake up scavenger hunt.
Content- I did an alphabet book where I recalled words that start with each letter. It was hard for me yet I had a partner to help me which was great.
Individualized Needs- My teacher helped my friend by only making him do the letters of his name since it will be easier for him. My teacher may could of elaborated on more needs. I dont recall anymore.
Assesment- We all participated as a class therefore we got a good grade.
You were well prepared for your class, I really liked the activities because you were able to keep all students engaged.Limiting the number of letters for students with disabilities was really good .GREAT JOB!!
ReplyDeleteHey Ariel! I absolutely loved your lesson and thought it was a great way to kick off our weekend lesson presentations!
ReplyDelete1. Preparation- I thought that you were very well prepared for this lesson. I commend you on the fact that, immediately, you asked us to locate the letters that you had hidden. You must have gotten here super early to make that work, because I had no idea that was coming, awesome!
2. Content- I think that your lesson was very well aligned to your goals and objectives. I, as a student, was constantly aware of what was expected of me and that is so helpful (I hate not knowing what is going on!)
3. Individual Needs- I think that you rocked this. The incorporation of the microphone into the lesson was truly unique and I enjoyed it very much. I think that this would be especially helpful for a student that may have a speech impairment or is an ELL. Overall, I have no doubt that you would be able to appropriatetly accomodate for all of your students individual needs.
4. Assessment- I believe that the assessment of the lesson was what you observed us doing; so, my only suggestion would be to make the assessment more clear (as in what activity in the lesson were we being assessed on). I loved completing all of the activities in your lesson and knew, at all times, what the point of each task was. In all, I loved this lesson. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas!

You did a grat job I liked your Lesson how you let all the students get up and walk around and be busy. that is a great Idea for these young kids. as for preperation you did a fantasitc job you had everything to go. the content was there fully. As for individulized help it was not neccecary so you are good there.
ReplyDelete1. prepartaion- I really enjoyed your lesson, and I could tell that you over prepared to make it approprite and effective for all students.
ReplyDelete2. The content was very organized which made it much more effective for studnets' learning. I enjoyed your lesson becuase it made understandable for all students.
3. There is not doubt that you provided the appropriate individual needs for students. it was appropriate for students with speech imparements and I believe it would be effective for his growth in the areas needed.
4. your assesment was effective and fair for all students.
I really liked your lesson. I think that the way that you presented the alphabet. It was a different way and very catchy. I think that you provided well for all students and that you were effective in all areas.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your lesson plan and I think it was an effective way to present the content. I think students will enjoy the song you introduced. I thought your use of technology was very creative. I think students of that age will be really excited to record themselves and hear what they recorded.
ReplyDeleteYou did a really great job during your lesson plan. I believe that you were well prepared you even had the classroom ready with an activity and some of us did not even realize it. As a kindergardener, I believe that they would really enjoy that activity themselves and have a blast with it. The song also got me hooked so Im sure it will do the same for your students. The best part was having us record our letters so we could go back for practice and here ourselves. I believe that will help students hear their own mistakes in saying the letters. Great Lesson Plan overall!
